The intended use for the Quick Splice TMis to replace the rescue hook: if the wire rope becomes entangled and must be cut or breaks, and/or in circumstances where there are no other options available and it is a life or death situation. The Quick Splice TMhas been tested to verify that when it is attached properly, it allows the cable to hold loads up to approximately 2500lbs.
