The purpose of the Rescue Hoist Test Facility is to allow testing of the rescue hoist in the hanger and off the aircraft. It is intended for intermediate level maintenance such as changing the wire rope cable, replacing limit switches, replacing the control module and making adjustments, and performing trouble shooting on the hoists. When used in conjuction with the Mobile Ground Support Equipment it provides the capability to operate the rescue hoist off the aircraft in order to perform intermediate level maintenance and troubleshooting. All this can be accomplished by one trained person. |
